I actually agree with the sect members on this issue, even though he won his position through the contest (fair and square) but the others did not see him fight. They do not know if he truly meets the requirements or not, they are justified to feel how they feel about the situation. The requirement to be an inner disciple is a realm above his current realm, he is not even close since his lv.4, I don’t think it would be unfair to prove them wrong and show them he deserves to be a inner disciple even with his current realm.
